Andrea Grant a.k.a. Minx’s Album
‘Want Some Scratch?’ is an album that tells entertaining stories, mixing mythology and the tragi-comedy of human emotion with jazz and hip hop beats produced by The Stylust and Vago. Think Tom Waits meets Saul Williams with a little Lauren Bacall smokiness…conceptual, precise, and accessible to a variety of listeners.
I worked with Andrea and cb shaw at Hybrid Studios where we recorded several tracks and played around with even more ideas. The two songs that eventually made their way onto this record were: Staring (Crazy on You) and Vanilla Vodka where I recorded, programmed, sang BGs, co-produced and mixed the songs.
